The twin foals, a colt and a filly, are extremely rare - only one in ten thousand make it to term. Although their first few days have been tough, the duo, named Bonnie and Clyde, are being treated at the Elgin Veterinary Hospital in Austin, Texas. The optimistic Bonnie is bouncing back, but the more sedate Clyde had only a fifty-fifty chance of survival initially.

After a week of monitoring and medical care, his odds have improved to sixty-forty. Given the ongoing care, Bonnie and Clyde will remain at the hospital until they are healthy.
